Last week, Pantone announced its color of the year for 2015. Marsala was the lucky winner. There’s been a lot of talk about the color because it’s unusual. It’s unlike any other color of the year that Pantone has selected before. Marsala is an earthy, reddish brown tone, named after Marsala wine. Pantone describes the color as “a hearty yet stylish tone.” Although the color might have its haters, I personally am in love with it! I think that it knocks any boring, neutral brown out of the park. I love that it’s also a more wearable tone, because as beautiful as Radiant Orchid was this year, it wasn’t the best color for makeup. I can’t wait to see Sephora’s Pantone collection with Marsala.

P.S. please forgive me if I miss a day this week! It’s finals week at school and my focus is on studying. I wasn’t able to queue up as much as I would have liked to this weekend.
