I grew up in Florida, the land of citrus. One of my best citrus memories is sitting with my friend Emmy in her tree house eating the clementines that her family picked on their grove. Winter time definitely brings back those memories, seeing as it’s the big eating season for citrus. Since my family moved to Indiana, the amount of citrus (and probably fruit in general) I consume has gone down. A lot.
However, over the last several weeks, I’ve seen some beautiful pictures and recipes that are created around citrus. Salads, desserts, sauces–they all look and (I’m sure) taste beautiful.
It’s amazing how an ingredient or recipe can bring back memories. Are there any foods that bring back memories for you?
