I came across a unique website several weeks ago. As a self-proclaimed packaging and branding enthusiast, BP&O immediately jumped out at me. The website, whose name is short for Branding, Packaging & Opinion, focuses on just that–branding and packaging with review-like pieces by the creator of the website, Richard Baird.
I was directed to the site because of the retweet of a review of Libertine Liquor Bar’s logo, designed by Indianapolis firm CODO Design. I follow CODO on Twitter, so when I saw their design work being showcased elsewhere, I was intrigued. BP&O reviews work from across the globe and always gives a great background on the company that the package or brand belongs to, as well as on the designer.
Overall, BP&O is a great source of inspiration for both design and writing. The opinions are excellent and the aggregation of branding and packaging is top notch. Plus, the website’s design is beyond pleasing to my minimalist side.
